Find out more about the features of admissible documents for the verification process

Updated over a week ago

As part of our commitment to your data and funds' safety, document verification is an integral component of our operations.

This process not only confirms your identity but also helps protect our system from unlawful activities and ensures compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

This article outlines the types of documents we accept for proof of address (PoA) and proof of identity (PoI) and introduces our in-app automatic verification system.

In-App Automatic Verification

The Brighty App features a user-friendly automatic verification system during the sign-up process.

Please follow the instructions displayed during this in-app verification process closely.

This system has been designed for maximum efficiency while fulfilling all legally required regulatory provisions.

Please bear in mind, the entire process is carried out online and remotely, meaning we can't accept documents or information that is ambiguous, unclear, contradictory, or incomplete.

We are required by law to insist on the provision of complete, valid, and accurate information given we can't verify your identity or address in person.

We appreciate your understanding in this matter.

Proof of Address (PoA)

This document is not required for EU/EEA citizens.

Should you experience any trouble submitting your PoA document during the automatic in-App verification process, we kindly request you to submit one of the following documents via email to support@brighty.app:

  • A recent utility bill or bank statement (no older than three months) in PDF format. Screenshots directly taken from your phone or computer aren't accepted.

  • An official registration confirmation issued by a local government authority, no older than three months.

  • An official ID containing valid address information, different from the ID submitted for identity verification.

Please ensure the address in the document matches your sign-up address and the document is recent, undamaged, and easily legible—without folds, tears, or cut offs.

Proof of Identity (PoI)

Should you experience any trouble submitting your PoI document during the automatic in-App verification process, we kindly request you to submit one of the following documents via email to support@brighty.app:

  1. A distinct, high-resolution photograph of yourself that isn't blurred, shadowed, or obscured.

  2. Your full name as officially recorded by the issuing authority.

  3. Accurate and comprehensive details regarding your date of birth, place of birth, and current citizenship or nationality.

The PoI should be valid, up-to-date, undamaged, and easily legible for successful verification.

Please ensure that all fields/parts of the submitted document are filled in/contain information - this includes fields showing a sample of your official signature (such as the “signature field” in most passports or national ID cards)

Following these guidelines, you contribute to maintaining a secure environment that safeguards your data and funds. While these steps may seem demanding, they exist for your account's overall security and to prevent unauthorized access.

Should you encounter any issues during this process, need further guidance, or have additional questions, please contact us at support@brighty.app.

We appreciate your understanding, cooperation, and commitment to safety and security.
