Answer: Brighty was founded by Nik Denisenko, a former engineer at Revolut, and has Jan Riem as a Member of the Board of Directors, a Germany-based fintech entrepreneur with extensive experience in financial services and Open Banking. The team also includes software developers, data scientists, legal experts, finance professionals, and customer success specialists who ensure Brighty runs smoothly and helps users manage their finances easily.


Where does Brighty's funding come from?

Answer: Brighty's funding primarily comes from its co-founders, investors and Nik Denisenko. Additional capital is provided by fully accredited angel investors and early stage VCs.

Are my funds secure?

Answer: Yes, your funds are secure.

Brighty keeps user funds in segregated accounts that are specially secured and cannot be accessed by Brighty employees or external partners without the express consent of the fund owners. Brighty also works with leading accounting and auditing firms, law firms, security consultants, and cybersecurity experts to protect its customers' information and funds. This applies to customers' funds held in fiat currencies and those held in cryptocurrencies.


Why haven’t I heard or seen much about Brighty so far?

Answer: Brighty has been around since 2021, but it chose not to engage in any marketing or PR activities during its development phase.

The company was focused on developing its app and ensuring all legal and regulatory requirements were met before the official launch. This approach is often called "stealth mode," where a startup remains relatively quiet about its product or service until it is fully prepared for public use.

Brighty essentially wanted to make sure that "everything works perfectly" before going "public" with its product and releasing it to the wider market.


Does Brighty have physical branches or an office I can visit?

Answer: Brighty does not have physical branches or offices for customers. All our services are delivered securely and conveniently through the app and online, so you can manage your finances anytime, anywhere.


Who provides my account and payment services on Brighty?

Answer: Your account and payment services on Brighty are provided by several regulated partners to ensure robust and compliant financial operations:

  • Fiat Republic Ltd. and its affiliates help support fiat payment infrastructure, enabling seamless access to traditional banking rails and global settlements for fiat transactions. Fiat Republic operates under financial regulations in the UK, the Netherlands, Canada, and the United States as applicable to its services.

  • OpenPayd, a London-based banking‑as‑a‑service and payments infrastructure provider, supports global payment processing, multi‑currency accounts, and international transactions through its regulated platform.
