Learn more about how to protect your data and your funds

Updated over a week ago

At Brighty, the safety and protection of your data and your funds are of the utmost importance.

To that end, we work tirelessly to ensure that only you - and no one else - has direct access to your data and, most importantly, your hard earned money.

However, keeping your data and your funds safe is only possible if we - that is: you and Brighty - work together as a team.

That is why we have the following suggestions

  • Choose a passcode that not based on any personal information such as your user id, family name, pet, birthday, etc.

  • Choose a strong password for the email address you wish to use for your Brighty account

A strong password should have the following characteristics:

  • Be at least 8 characters in length

  • Contain both upper and lowercase alphabetic characters (e.g. A-Z, a-z)

  • Have at least one numerical character (e.g. 0-9)

  • Have at least one special character (e.g. ~!@#$%^&*()_-+=)

A Strong Password should NOT:

  • Spell a word or series of words that can be found in a standard dictionary

  • Spell a word with a number added to the beginning and the end

  • Be based on any personal information such as user id, family name, pet, birthday, etc.

  • Do not share your passcode or your email password with anyone for any reason

  • Change your passcode and your password upon indication of compromise: If you suspect someone has compromised any of your accounts, change your passcode and your password immediately.

  • Do not write your passcode or your password down or store it in an insecure manner

We only work with the most advanced tools and specially certified technology partners who have shown to be capable of maintaining the same high standards of privacy protection and data security as Brighty.
