Before depositing, please ensure that Brighty supports both the cryptocurrency and the network you're using.
You can always check the list of supported cryptocurrencies in What cryptocurrencies are currently supported? | Brighty FAQ article or directly in the app by going to:
"Top Up" → "Crypto Transfer" → Choose preferred cryptocurrency from the list→ Select preferred network from the list
If either of these is selected incorrectly, the transfer may not arrive properly and may become very difficult, or impossible, to recover.
Why this matters?
Each crypto asset is tied to specific blockchain networks, and wallets can only properly receive assets that are supported on the exact network shown in the app. If a different cryptocurrency is sent, or if the correct cryptocurrency is sent through the wrong network, the transfer may not be recognized by our system.
Before sending crypto, you should always carefully review the asset and network shown in the deposit details.
What happens if I send the wrong crypto or use the wrong network?
If you send an unsupported cryptocurrency, or use an unsupported network the transfer may not be recoverable. In fact, most such transfers cannot be restored. This is because unsupported assets and unsupported networks are not integrated into our standard processing systems. As a result, the funds may not be accessible through wallet operations.
If a transfer is made using an unsupported cryptocurrency or network, this is not due to an issue on Brighty’s side, as we clearly display supported assets and supported networks in the app so you can send funds correctly. For this reason, you are responsible for checking the deposit instructions carefully before completing a transfer.
Can Brighty recover my funds?
While we are always ready to review your case and assist where possible, recovery of incorrectly sent cryptocurrency cannot be guaranteed. Each case is assessed individually, and whether recovery is possible depends on a number of factors, including technical feasibility, blockchain limitations, and external constraints. Before sending cryptocurrency, we strongly encourage you to carefully review both the asset and the network indicated in the deposit details.
Why recovery is often impossible?
Recovery of unsupported crypto or unsupported network transfers is often not possible for technical and operational reasons. Because of them, a wrong transfer cannot simply be reversed or corrected automatically. Cryptocurrency transactions are generally irreversible once confirmed on-chain.
Will there be a recovery fee?
If recovery is technically possible, a fee may apply. As unsupported assets and networks are outside our standard supported infrastructure, any recovery attempt may involve manual technical intervention and blockchain transaction costs.
In addition, because the transfer was made via an unsupported network and unsupported currency, we are unable to cover any related blockchain fees on your behalf. Therefore, should recovery be possible, you may be asked to cover the necessary costs. Please rest assured that any applicable fees will be clearly communicated to you in advance before we proceed.
What is the recovery timeframe?
The time required to review and, where possible, recover funds may vary depending on the complexity of the case. Each situation is assessed individually, and while some cases may be resolved sooner, others may require more time.
What should I do if this happened to me?
If you believe you sent crypto using the wrong network or sent an unsupported asset, please contact our Support Team and provide:
the cryptocurrency sent
the network used
the transaction hash
the wallet address used
the amount sent
Our team will gladly review the case individually and let you know whether any action is possible. Kindly note again that submission for review does not mean recovery is guaranteed.
